Chances are, if you've landed here, you too are trying to use less plastic. Maybe you're trying to find safer alternatives for your kids. Maybe you're trying to go plastic free, but it is just too hard when we live in a world filled with plastic.
Well, then, dear reader. You are in the right place!
I started this blog as a mother of two young ones to find the best - and most convenient - plastic-free alternatives for our household.
It's a dangerous and slippery slope to go down when you're scrolling at night and you realize HOW SURROUNDED we are by plastics. And microplastics. In our food. In our water. In our bodies....
But I don't want to scare you! I want to empower you to make the best decision for your family that also works with your lifestyle. Because let's face it, having kids is MESSY. And to keep some semblance of order, there is much to be said for the convenience of plastics - plastic gallon bags, plastic snack bags, garbage bags you name it. Boom - it's done, you throw it in the trash and you don't have to do another - god forbid - dish.
So, how about if there were plastic free alternatives that allowed for the same convenience, but didn't fill your kids or the earth up with plastic bags, killing the dolphins and turtles....
Yes, I want that. In fact, I need that! Do you?
Sounds pretty nice to me.
Cue Bebehus (baby house in Swedish as an ode to our bilingual household). As we get scaled up, we're launching our blog to start providing information for our followers. And over time - in between the diaper changes, bottle feeds, toddler tantrums and school pick ups - we will be here cultivating the very best options for you and your home, so everything you need to live plastic-free is all in one place.
So, welcome on this journey! It will be a learning experience for everyone as new options come on the market and we learn more as humans and a society about what is good for our children and our homes.
I'm so happy you're here with me.
Välkommen til Bebehus (baby-hūs)
